After the meeting, spokesperson Manish Jha informed that until an empowered authority is formed and the records of squatters are collected, bulldozers should not be used to demolish houses/structures in places other than the acquired structures.

The National Independent Party (NISP) secretariat meeting on Sunday urged the Nepal government to make all arrangements for the people evicted from the encroached structures and squatter settlements that have been removed by the end of Chaitra this year.
After the meeting held at the party's central office, Banasthali, spokesperson Manish Jha informed that they have requested that bulldozers not be used to demolish houses/structures in other places except in the acquired structures until the competent authority is formed and the records of the squatters are collected. He urged the government to shift the encroached structures and squatter settlements to safe and orderly settlements by paying attention to their living conditions.
Spokesperson Jha said that in the past, the government did not pay serious attention to solving the problem and that it had taken the initiative to keep the landless squatters in order as per its election promise.
'We will take the initiative to manage those who are now homeless in a safe and dignified manner.' We will manage sustainably through the authorized authority. The government will have managed at least 75 percent of the citizens by mid-Chaitum,' said Spokesperson Jha. 'Until the data of the squatters is provided, we have decided to suggest to the government not to use dozers to demolish the acquired structures and squatter settlements in places other than the local level jurisdiction.'
Spokesperson Jha said that it was necessary to take the squatters there to a safe place as there will be floods during the rainy season. He informed that the candidate club has been announced for the upcoming local level elections and the candidate selection procedure has been passed. Arrangements have been made to pass the candidate club and leadership class qualifications to be the party's local level candidate.
In response to a journalist's question, Spokesperson Jha clarified that the dismissal was made through an ordinance to review how procedurally or need-based the appointments made in various state bodies in the past were.
