President Ram Chandra Poudel issued three ordinances on Saturday. President Poudel issued two ordinances related to universities and health sciences institutes recommended by the government on Tuesday and an ordinance made to make special arrangements for the dismissal of public officials recommended on Wednesday.
Of the total eight recommended by the government, one has already been issued ordinances related to cooperatives, money laundering and public procurement process. Two ordinances are yet to be issued, including an ordinance related to the Constitutional Council and amendments to some Nepal Acts. 20 amendments to some Nepal Acts have been recommended. President Poudel has stated that he will consult further on the ordinance related to the Constitutional Council since the provisions are similar in nature and not based on amendments taken when the ordinance was withdrawn twice in the past.
