The 2570th birth anniversary of Lord Gautam Buddha, the forerunner of peace, is celebrated with devotion in homes, monasteries, chaityas, and viharas, remembering his contribution to spreading the message of peace.

Every year, on the full moon day of the full moon day of the month of Vaishakh, the Buddha Jayanti festival is celebrated to commemorate the contribution of Siddhartha Gautam, i.e. Shakyamuni Buddha, to spreading the message of peace. Lord Gautam Buddha is known as the forerunner of peace in the world and the star of Asia. Buddha taught peace, non-violence, friendship and compassion to the common people through the eight paths. This is why Buddhist philosophy has taken the form of a sect or path in the world. The number of people studying and researching it has also increased.
