The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a committee to investigate the jeep accident that occurred in Salyaap, Thawang Rural Municipality-1, Rolpa on Thursday. The ministry formed a four-member committee under the coordination of Lumbini Province Police Office Tulsipur Superintendent of Police Yadav Dhakal on the decision of the secretary on Thursday. 

The investigation committee includes the Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office Rolpa, the Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Armed Police Force Rolpa, and the Administrative Officer of the District Administration Office Rolpa, informed Rama Acharya Subedi, Information Officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs. 

The committee has been given the responsibility of studying the facts of the incident and submitting a report within three days. The committee has been given a mandate to find out the cause of the accident, negligence and weaknesses and to suggest steps to be taken to reduce accidents in the future. 

A jeep heading towards Jaljala in Rolpa from Rukum East fell about 800 meters down a dirt road at 3 pm today, killing 20 people.
