The Judicial Council meeting held on Tuesday recommended the name of Secretary Thapaliya, who will retire in four days. He has been recommended to the Jumla bench of the High Court, Surkhet. The council meeting had prepared to appoint four vacant judges of the High Court. However, after Law Minister Sobita Gautam said not to discuss other names, Thapaliya's name was recommended. He was previously the registrar of the Special Court. He had been omitted in previous recommendations.
