The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in most parts of the country today. According to the division, according to the updated weather reports of various cities, the effect of rain is expected to be seen from the Terai to the hills and mountainous areas. According to the weather report, light to moderate rain is expected in the cities of the Terai region including Bhairahawa, Simara, Janakpur, Biratnagar during the day, and it is expected to continue at night. The division says that the maximum temperature in these areas will be around 30 to 36 degrees Celsius. According to the division, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning throughout the day in the Kathmandu Valley. The maximum temperature here is expected to be 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature will drop to 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
The effect of rain will also be felt in Dhankuta, Jiri, Taplejung and Okhaldhunga in the eastern hilly region. There is a possibility of moderate rain in these areas, especially in the evening and night. Similarly, light rain with thunder is also predicted in Pokhara, Jomsom and Jumla areas.
