The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged people to be on high alert, saying that there is a possibility of strong winds, thunderstorms, hail and rain in various parts of the country from Wednesday evening.
According to the department's meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari, there is a possibility of strong winds in Dadeldhura and Doti of Sudurpaschim Province, Bardiya, Banke, Dang and Arghakhanchi of Lumbini Province, Dhanusha and Bara of Madhesh Province and Morang of Koshi Province and surrounding districts on Wednesday.
The department has stated that the possible time of the storm is 5:45 pm on Wednesday and the possible time of its end is 7:45 am on Thursday.
As the western system is moving eastward, the department has stated that there is a possibility of thunder, lightning, wind and rain in many parts of the country. The department has urged people to be on high alert as adverse weather conditions may affect public life, agriculture, transport and electricity services.
