The Authority for Abuse of Authority Investigation (AIA) has arrested a senior constable of Kaski Police on charges of taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a service recipient.
The senior constable who was arrested is Bishnu Thapa Chhetri, who works in the case division of the District Police Office, Kaski. According to the Authority, he had demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a service recipient on the pretext of facilitating a drug case.
After receiving information about the bribe demand, a team deployed from the Authority's Pokhara office took him under control while he was taking a bribe of Rs 50,000, informed Authority spokesperson Suresh Neupane.
