Due to the partial influence of westerly and local winds, it has become cloudy in various parts of the country.
Currently, it is generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly parts of the country including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, while the weather is mainly clear in the Terai region of the Sudurpaschim province. Moderate rain and snowfall are occurring in some places in Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in Bagmati province.
According to the Hydrology and Meteorology Forecasting Division, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces today afternoon and partially cloudy in the remaining parts.
There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly and mountainous parts of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces including Madhesh. In addition, rain may also occur in one or two places in the Terai region of Lumbini province. Temperatures are likely to rise in the Terai of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
Similarly, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly parts of the country tonight and partly cloudy in the Terai region. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in some places in the mountainous parts of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
In addition, temperatures are expected to rise gradually in most parts of the country. The Division has forecast that temperatures will rise in the Terai, valleys and gorges of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces. The Division has requested the general public in those areas to be vigilant.
