Heavy rainfall has occurred in various districts of the country today along with the change in weather. According to records received from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, heavy rainfall has been measured in Lamjung, Rolpa, Pyuthan, and Kavrepalanchok in the last 12 hours today. 

According to the details received, the highest rainfall of 87.4 millimeters (near very heavy) has been recorded in Lamjung, while 65.2 millimeters have been recorded in Rolpa, 74.6 millimeters in Pyuthan, and 63.6 millimeters in Kavre (heavy rainfall). 

Similarly, 33 millimeters of rainfall have been recorded in Kaski, 37 millimeters in Gulmi, and 37 millimeters in Dhankuta. Department meteorologist Binu Maharjan said that the heat wave will subside as it will rain in many parts of the country from today. The department has stated that the rainfall has increased from today and this trend will increase further. 

The department has stated that there is currently a partial influence of western and local winds in Nepal. According to the department, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly regions of the country including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tomorrow, Sunday, and partly cloudy in the remaining regions.

Similarly, it is said that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain/snowfall with thunder/lightning in some places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and in a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Madhes province, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two places in the Terai region of Lumbini province. Meanwhile, the department has issued a bulletin this evening stating that there is a possibility of a hot day in the Terai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
