The government has decided to accept a grant of one million Swiss francs from the Swiss government for the Investigation and Reconciliation Fund for Enforced Disappearances.
The decision was made at Thursday's cabinet meeting, government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Sasmit Pokharel said. According to him, the heads and tax officers of the Inland Revenue Department and various subordinate offices have been given the responsibility of excise officers to look after the specified work area.
Minister Pokharel also said that he has decided to submit the agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters between the governments of Nepal and India to the House of Representatives for approval. The agreement was concluded on February 20.

Minister Pokharel also informed that a committee has been formed under the coordination of Dr. Gunakar Bhatta to recommend names for the appointment of the chairpersons of the Nepal Securities Board and the Nepal Insurance Authority.
