The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Khamcha on Friday evening with a bribe.
According to CIAA spokesperson Suresh Neupane, he was arrested with Rs 2 lakh taken as a bribe from a service recipient and an additional Rs 3.5 lakh from an undisclosed source that he was with.
A team deployed from the CIAA's Butwal office arrested him.
The CIAA was informed after it was found that he had asked for a bribe from a service recipient while establishing a new title and transferring the name of the land. Based on that, the team deployed took control of Siddharthnagar Municipality-13 in Rupandehi.
