Buddha Cricket Club has entered the 'A' division with a victory in the 24th edition of the Rupandehi Super League One-Day Cricket Tournament. Buddha Club entered the 'A' division by defeating Sai Global Cricket Club by 8 wickets in the 'B' division match held on Sunday.
Sai Global, who were invited to bat after losing the toss at the Siddhartha Cricket Ground, set a paltry target of 90 runs after losing all their wickets in 25 overs and 3 balls. To stop them easily, Buddha's Anuj Chauhan took 6 important wickets for 11 runs including 3 maidens in 7 overs and 3 balls.
Parvez Alam took 2 wickets and Suraj Gurung took 1 wicket. Sai Global's Ajay Chai scored 33, Basudev Yadav scored 15 and Jitendra Kewat scored 10 runs.
In reply, Buddha scored 93 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 14 overs and won easily and was promoted to the 'A' division. Suraj Poudel contributed an unbeaten 53 and Sahil Patel 17 runs in their victory.
Jitendra Kewat of Sai Global took 2 wickets in the bowling. Anuj Chauhan was named the player of the match and received Rs 1,200.
