The Department of Immigration has clarified that workers going for foreign employment do not need to present any receipts for payments at the airport, except for the labor permit.
The Immigration Department has given this information, saying that the notice published by the Department of Foreign Employment on Chaitra 23 has increased confusion among workers going for foreign employment.
The Department of Foreign Employment had stated that Nepali workers should submit receipts and other documents when departing from the Immigration Office at Tribhuvan International Airport.
'It is requested for the information of all concerned that apart from the minimum basic documents such as labor permit and passport issued by the Department of Foreign Employment, Nepali workers do not need to submit any additional documents and bills/receipts to the Immigration Office when departing outside Nepal,' the notice issued by the Immigration Department said.
The Department has requested Nepali citizens traveling abroad to travel without any kind of confusion and to be fully informed about the destination country and the journey and to travel confidently.
The Department has stated that a system has already been implemented for Nepali citizens departing from Nepal on a 'visit visa' to travel abroad with a self-declaration if they have a passport valid for at least six months, an air ticket to the destination country and an entry permit (visa) to the relevant country.
