The ministry stated that it had received a complaint regarding the increase in the price of medicines without following the procedure prescribed by the prevailing law, as per the letter dated Chaitra 26 from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, and has formed a 3-member committee comprising Additional Health Secretary of the ministry Dr. Shree Krishna Shrestha, Head of the Ministry's Legal Branch Gopikrishna Regmi and Expert Kabin Maleku to investigate the matter.
