The Nepal Bar Association has drawn the attention of Prime Minister Balendra Shah to facilitate the entry of legal practitioners into Singha Durbar, saying that it is inconvenient for them to enter. The bar has demanded that there should be no obstruction when they have to go to argue since the administrative court is located inside Singha Durbar. Earlier, legal practitioners were allowed to enter based on the identity card of the Nepal Bar Council. However, after the administrative court issued a notice and blocked it, on Wednesday, Bar General Secretary and Senior Advocate Kedar Prasad Koirala drew the attention of Prime Minister Shah to facilitate the entry into Singha Durbar. ‘As in the past, we request that the existing arrangements be followed for the unhindered entry into the Singha Durbar premises based on the identity card of the legal practitioner,’ the bar statement said. ‘As legal practitioners, it seems that it will create problems in going to the administrative court and judicial bodies to defend the party.’ ’
