The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged caution, saying that there will be rain and snowfall along with lightning, wind, hail and thunder in various parts of the country tomorrow, Wednesday.
Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane of the department's Weather Forecasting Division informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain or snowfall in one or two places. He has requested that work be done with caution as the western low pressure system and local winds are currently affecting Nepal and will increase further from tomorrow.
He said that its impact is greater in western Nepal and it will affect those areas from the morning. According to him, its impact will also reach Kathmandu in the afternoon. According to the bulletin issued by the department on Tuesday evening, it is stated that Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will be completely cloudy on Wednesday and the rest of the country will be generally cloudy.
The department has stated that there is a possibility of moderate rain/snowfall with thunder/lightning, windstorm and hail in many places of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and in some places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and in a few places of the Terai regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces including Madhes province.
Meanwhile, there is a possibility of heavy rain/snowfall in one or two places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, Meteorologist Lamichhane said.
He has said that there is also a possibility of windstorm in some places of the hilly and Terai regions of Madhes, Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati and Koshi provinces. It will remain cloudy on Thursday as well.
