Police have arrested 18 people on charges of harassing and cheating passengers from the Tribhuvan International Airport area.

According to SP Pawan Bhattarai, spokesperson of the Kathmandu Police Range, a police team deployed in the airport area of ​​Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9 arrested them.

Those arrested include Surya Majhi, 18, of Sarlahi and residing in Sinamangal, Ekesh Tamang, 22, of Banke and residing in the airport, Prem Kumar Magar, 26, of Panchthar and residing in the airport, Rajkumar Rai, 32, of Sindhuli and residing in Nayabasti, Mangalman Ghalan, 40, of Makawanpur and residing in the airport, and Khagendra Limbu, 38, of Panchthar and residing in Tokha. 

Similarly, 29-year-old Ashish Khatiwada from Morang and residing at the airport, 34-year-old Bishwa Moktan from Makwanpur and residing at Sambhumarg, 45-year-old Birendra Jha from Dhanusha and residing at the airport, 60-year-old Ladda Miya from Siraha and residing at Tilganga, 46-year-old Parashuram Rai from Morang and residing at Naya Bus Park, 27-year-old Santu Tamang from Ramechhap and residing at Bhaktapur, and 53-year-old Raghubir Shah from Dhanusha and residing at Tilganga have also been arrested. 

Rajiv Kumar Rawat from Mahottari and residing at Tilganga, 26-year-old Saroj Kumar Mahato from Dhanusha and residing at Gaushala, 19-year-old Ajay Lama from Makwanpur and residing at Gaushala, 39-year-old Keshav Limbu from Jhapa and residing at Sinamangal, 20-year-old Ramprasad Joshi from Bajhang and residing at Sinamangal, and 29-year-old Bimalraj Joshi from Bajhang and residing at Kirtipur have also been taken into custody by the police.
