The Judicial Council has decided to proceed with a detailed investigation into the complaints filed against five judges.

A member of the council said that the council meeting held on Friday decided to dismiss 10 out of 15 complaints and conduct a detailed investigation into five. The decision was taken after investigating the complaints that have been pending in the council for a long time.

The council will investigate the complaints in its next meeting and form an investigation committee if necessary. There is a provision for the Chief Justice to be the chairman and the Law Minister to be members of the Judicial Council. Currently, the role of the acting Chief Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla is the chairman of the Judicial Council.

Senior Judge Kumar Regmi and Sobita Gautam, who was elected as the Law Minister by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are members. Similarly, Damodar Khadka and Mahesh Kumar Nepal are among the 2 members. Among the complaints filed against the performance of district and high court judges, the complaints that were initially considered serious have been sent for detailed investigation.
