The bodies of nine Nepali workers stranded in Kuwait due to the Gulf War were brought back to Nepal on Wednesday evening. Four of them are women. The bodies were sent on a charter flight of Kuwait Airways. According to the Foreign Employment Board, the bodies of Ramesh Kumar Mochi of Siraha, Khushi Ram Chaudhary of Dang, Samjhana Gole of Sindhupalchowk, Kopila Dhami of Udayapur, Basanta Rai of Khotang, Yamuna Sunar of Surkhet, Krishna Ramja Budha of Salyan, Manju Moktan Pakhrin of Sindhuli, and Ramesh Nepali of Kaski have arrived. The board's executive director, Dwarika Upreti, said that arrangements have been made to take their bodies from Gautam Buddha International Airport to their homes. The US-Israeli attack on Iran on March 16 was carried out by the US-Israeli coalition. In retaliation, Iran launched a series of attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman, which have US military bases, causing Kuwait's airport to be out of service.
