Seven middlemen have been arrested from the Transport Management Office in Sano Bharyang, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15. A police team mobilized from Police Circle Swayambhu took them into custody this afternoon on charges of obstructing the flow of public services by promising to renew the vehicle registration books (billbooks) of service recipients from the office. The police have arrested Bal Bahadur Sunar, 36, of Rautahat, Vigyan Rai, 39, of Ramechhap, Sanjay Rajbahak, 31, of Kathmandu and Bimal Tamang, 36, of Ramechhap, Ramesh Karki, 35, of Ramechhap, Kalpana Lamsal, 36, of Dhading, and Uddhav Khanal, 39, of Nuwakot. According to the police, Rs. 122,000 in cash and 53 billbooks have been recovered from them.
