Light rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Science Department, Weather Forecasting Division.
According to the division, this afternoon the hilly and mountainous areas of the country will be generally cloudy, while the Terai areas will be partially cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and in the Terai areas of Koshi province including Madhes province, and in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Similarly, tonight, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas including Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while it will be partly cloudy in the rest of the Terai region. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
