Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has expressed his heartfelt congratulations on the appointment of Balendra Shah as the Prime Minister of Nepal and expressed his commitment to strengthen bilateral cooperation and partnership.
Sending a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Shah today, the Chinese Premier expressed such commitment.
Noting that China and Nepal are traditional neighboring countries connected by mountains and rivers, Prime Minister Li said in the message that bilateral relations have been developing based on the 'Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence' in the 71 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
According to the Chinese Embassy here, Prime Minister Li expressed China's support for the Nepalese government's efforts for good governance and expressed its commitment to Nepal's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In the message, Prime Minister Li said that he would work with Prime Minister Shah to advance the 'Belt and Road Initiative' and expand high-level cooperation in various fields.
In addition, Prime Minister Li reiterated his commitment to further strengthen the China-Nepal friendly strategic cooperative partnership for development and prosperity.
