Newly appointed Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has directed to adopt a zero tolerance policy towards corruption while facilitating service delivery.
After assuming office at the Home Ministry today, he instructed the employees and announced to take tough decisions against the corrupt. He said, 'There is zero tolerance towards corruption and if someone asks for a bribe, they will not be let off the hook.'
Stating that he has come to the leadership of the ministry to work in a way that gives results to the people, Home Minister Gurung directed to make arrangements for speedy service delivery through a single-door system. He has announced that he will focus on talking less and showing results.
'Service delivery has been given top priority. The situation of having to wait for rooms 1, 2, 3 or A, B, C should end, employees should not clash with service recipients, this can bring good governance,' he said. Stating that everyone should assimilate the decision taken by the Council of Ministers to implement the mandate of the Gen-G movement, he clarified that no one has the right not to implement the government's decisions.
He was welcomed at the ministry by Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Inspector General of Nepal Police, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Nepal, Chief of the National Investigation Department, and high-ranking employees of the ministry.
