The weather in Nepal has changed again, with rain, wind, lightning and hail expected in many parts of the country from today (Friday).
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather is expected to change again on Friday and Saturday, so it has been requested to take necessary precautions as the weather is likely to change further and rain will occur in places from Friday. Information Officer of the department, Dinkar Kayastha, said that the weather has become cloudy since the evening and it will rain in places from Friday.
It rained in some places including Gorkha, Sindhupalchowk, Kaski, Lamjung, Sankhuwasabha, Khotang, Nuwakot on Thursday evening and this trend is expected to increase slightly from tonight.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the division on Thursday evening, it is said that on Friday, the mountainous region of the country will be partly cloudy, the hilly region will be generally cloudy, and there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall along with thunder, lightning/wind/hail in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of all provinces and one or two places in the Terai region.
On Saturday, it is said that it will be generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, while the rest of the region will be partly cloudy, and there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder/lightning in some places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati provinces and a few places in the rest of the Himalayan and hilly regions.
The department has also requested everyone to be careful of wind, hail and lightning during this time.
