The circular was issued by both headquarters after newly appointed Home Minister Sudhan Gurung returned to the Home Ministry after discussing with Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki and Inspector General of Armed Police Raju Aryal on Friday night.
Home Minister Gurung had discussed with the security chiefs about investigating the political and administrative high-ranking officials who suppressed the Gen-G movement. Minister Gurung had raised the issue of arresting them and investigating them. The issue of moving forward according to the law was raised, but after the security chiefs left the meeting with the Home Minister, they issued such a circular to the subordinate forces to appear in full uniform.
According to a retired AIG, such a circular field is kept in a state of readiness to provide back support to the troops deployed. The former AIG says that during the Gen-G movement, the Prime Minister, Home Minister, Home Secretary, Prajapati, etc. may have been kept in a state of readiness to deal with the situation if there is a need to investigate.
High officials of both the organizations did not want to formally respond to this matter.
