Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dipesh Basyal will be deployed as the personal security officer (PSO) of Balendra Shah, who is set to take oath as Prime Minister on Friday. 

The Security Service Management Division of the Police Headquarters has given this responsibility to Basyal. He is considered a successful investigation officer within the police. He had also worked as part of the investigation team of the fake Bhutanese refugee case. 

According to the VIP Security Management Procedure, the Prime Minister is provided with special level security. According to which, there is a provision for the security of the Prime Minister to be deployed by 200 security personnel from the Nepal Army, 35 from the Armed Police Force, 62 from the Nepal Police and 5 from the National Investigation Department. This also includes the security of the residence. 

The lead and trailing vehicles will also be from the Nepal Army.
