According to the information received from the rainfall measurement centers of various districts, Jhapa has received the most rainfall of 9.4 millimeters in the last one hour. Similarly, Taplejung, Bhojpur, Nuwakot, Lamjung, Gorkha, Kaski and Kalikot are receiving light rain. In the last three hours, Tanahun has received 24.6 millimeters of rain and Jhapa 12.2 millimeters of rain.
According to Dinkar Kayastha, Information Officer of the Department of Meteorology, the hilly and mountainous areas of the country including Koshi Province are generally cloudy, while the rest of the region is partially cloudy.
Light rain/snowfall accompanied by thunder/lightning is occurring at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, the department said in a bulletin issued at 6 pm today.
According to the department, it will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces on Wednesday, and partially cloudy in the remaining hilly and mountainous areas. Similarly, the weather will remain mainly clear in the Terai region.
It is said that there is a possibility of light rain/snowfall accompanied by thunder/lightning at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous parts of the remaining provinces.
