A separate desk has been set up at Tribhuvan International Airport for Nepali origin foreign nationals (PNOs) and non-resident Nepalis scattered around the world.
The Tribhuvan International Airport Immigration Office has started providing services by setting up special desks in the arrival and departure halls of the airport. According to Narahari Ghimire, Chief Immigration Officer of the Tribhuvan International Airport Immigration Office, earlier a separate desk was arranged for NRNAs and visa-free countries and individuals.
Now a separate desk has been arranged at immigration for foreign nationals of Nepali origin. This arrangement has been made with the aim of further strengthening the Nepali language, culture and relationship with the homeland, as well as promoting tourism and investment.
In accordance with the decision of the Immigration Department on Chaitra 20, a separate line and immigration desk have been arranged for foreign citizens of Nepali origin at the arrival and departure gates of the Tribhuvan International Airport Immigration Office, the Immigration Office said in a statement issued on Monday.*
