It has been decided to set up separate desks for Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) and foreign nationals of Nepali origin at Tribhuvan International Airport.

It has been decided to set up separate desks at the arrival and departure halls of the airport immigration to strengthen the affinity towards the Nepali language, culture and Nepali soil.

The Immigration Department has written to the Airport Immigration Office on Sunday asking it to make arrangements for the same.

This decision is also expected to encourage NRNs and foreign nationals of Nepali origin to promote tourism and investment in Nepal.

The Association of Nepali Origin (ANO) had been demanding such an arrangement at the immigration office. ANO welcomed the latest government arrangement and said, 'The government decision has made Nepali origin citizens around the world feel honored.'
