Nepal-Gulf air service has partially resumed amid the impact of the war in West Asia. Himalaya Airlines, Qatar Airways, Fly Dubai and Air Arabia are facilitating passenger management by announcing limited flight schedules.
Qatar Airways has said that it is currently operating flights from Doha through a limited ‘safe corridor’ after Qatar’s airspace was partially closed. The company has implemented a limited flight schedule until March 28, 2026.
Two flights have been operating daily on the Kathmandu-Doha-Kathmandu route for the past four days, compared to three flights daily under normal circumstances. The airline has urged passengers not to come to the airport without a confirmed ticket and to keep their contact details updated.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s Himalaya Airlines announced on Friday that it has resumed its regular flight service to Dubai.
The airline has advised passengers to re-validate previously booked tickets or make a new booking through a travel agency or official website if necessary.
The company has stated that all flights will be operated in accordance with high safety standards. However, the company has clarified in the notice that it is not responsible for any external factors that may affect the flight.
UAE-based Air Arabia has also resumed limited international flights and included Kathmandu in its list of destinations.
These flights, which will be operated from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, are scheduled to be operated until April 15, 2026, the company said. Flights are also being operated to Kathmandu along with various cities in South Asia, Europe and Africa.
The airline has given passengers of canceled flights the option of a free date change, credit voucher or full refund once. Felai Dubai has also operated the suspended flights since Tuesday.
With all four airlines expanding their services through limited flights, there has been some relief, especially for Nepalis and passengers working abroad.
However, airlines have said that the flight schedule is still uncertain as it depends on the regional security situation, air route availability and regulatory approvals.
Before Falgun 16, there were at least 24 flights daily in the Nepal-Gulf region. Gulf flights have been affected after the attacks in Iran.
