Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds has affected life in various parts of the country. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has requested everyone to be alert as the westerly wind system will remain active for a few more hours. Hail has fallen in some places. Due to which life has been affected and crops have been damaged.
The impact of wind and rain has been seen more in various districts of Karnali, Lumbini, Bagmati and Madhesh provinces. Due to wind and hail, some schools have urged students to stay safe inside the classrooms by using microphones. Since exams are over and teaching is going on, schools have also coordinated to take students home. In some areas, it has become almost dark in the daytime.
It is currently raining in some parts of the country. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that it is raining in some parts of western Nepal. It has also started raining in the Kathmandu Valley. A large westerly wind system is moving towards Pokhara via Nepalgunj.
