The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system and local winds.
It is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, while it is cloudy in the mountainous areas of other provinces. It is partially cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, and the weather is mainly clear in the rest of the provinces.
According to the division, it will be cloudy in most parts of the country in the afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder, lightning and hail in many places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Lumbini and Koshi provinces, and some places in other provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain or snowfall in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Similarly, it will be cloudy in most parts of the country tonight. There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall along with thunder, lightning and hail in many places in Karnali, Sudurpaschim and Gandaki provinces and some places in other provinces.
The division has also requested the general public, farmers involved in agriculture, as well as everyone traveling to those areas and involved in operating transport vehicles to carry out their regular activities with caution.
