In the past month, 18 people have died in disasters in Nepal.
Nepal Police's central spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General of Police Abinarayan Kafle, said that 502 disasters occurred in Falgun, resulting in 18 deaths and 124 injuries.
The fatalities include five men, nine women and four children. Similarly, 53 men, 53 women and 18 children are injured. According to the police headquarters, 74 houses, 35 sheds were damaged and 106 livestock died in these disasters. 50 families have been displaced from these disasters.
The damage was mainly caused by fires, lightning, animal attacks, epidemics, storms, snowfall, drowning, snake bites and other incidents.
According to the information provided by the police headquarters, the highest number of disasters occurred in Falgun, with 143 in Koshi. There have been 106 disasters in Madhesh Province, 33 in Bagmati Province, 35 in Kathmandu Valley, 52 in Gandaki Province, 63 in Lumbini Province, 28 in Karnali Province and 42 in Sudurpaschim Province.
Spokesperson Kafle also said that the economic losses from these disasters are estimated to be over 150 million rupees.
