An Air Dynasty helicopter has crashed in Balabesi, Khartamchha, Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality-2. The helicopter, which arrived in Balabesi at 12:02 pm on Wednesday, crashed into a wall while landing.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Budhathoki, 65-year-old Kazi Bahadur Rai, a resident of Lalitpur, was injured when the helicopter carrying Air Dynasty's helicopter number 9 N-AFQ crashed. Khartamchha Ward Chairman Milan Rai said that his right leg was injured.

Kazi Bahadur and pilot Sabin Thapa were sent to Kathmandu by Air Dynasty's helicopter number 9-NANA  at 12:35 pm, Ward Chairman Rai said.

Relatives of the deceased had come in the helicopter to attend the funeral of 80-year-old Manalakshi Rai, who died in the UK a month ago. The deceased's husband, 82-year-old Dakmani Rai, son, 53-year-old Balkumar Rai, daughter, 47-year-old Laxmi Rai, relative, 40-year-old Samala Rai, and the injured Kajiman Rai, a resident of Lalitpur, were on board the helicopter.

Relatives have said that the body of the deceased will reach the village by car on Thursday. Ward Chairman Rai has said that the relatives are safe. Laxmi Rai, who was on board the helicopter, said that no further damage was caused after the pilot turned off the engine immediately after the accident.
