It has been raining from Gandaki to Koshi in Nepal for the last three days, but the rain is expected to spread to western Nepal from Sunday. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the western low-pressure system is currently partially affecting Nepal, and the pre-concentrated rain will develop from tomorrow and spread to the west.
Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane of the department informed that the weather will be cloudy across the country for the next three days. According to him, although it seems to be clear in the morning, the weather will gradually change from the afternoon and rain will increase. He informed that another system will also develop in the west from tomorrow.
Meteorologist Lamichhane informed that the high-pressure system will weaken and the low-pressure system as well as the western low-pressure system will combine to make it cloudy. Meteorologists have said that this will cause wind, lightning and hail. It will also cause heavy rain in some places.
It has rained in some places today. According to the statistics and rainfall measurements at the department, only Sankhuwasabha has received heavy (52.2 mm) rainfall in the last 24 hours. The department has stated that moderate rainfall and hail have also occurred in some other districts.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the department this evening, there is a possibility of moderate snowfall in a few places in the mountainous areas of the country tonight. Similarly, there is a possibility of light rainfall with thunder/lightning in a few places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces and one/two places in the mountainous areas of the remaining provinces, informed meteorologist Lamichhane.
On Sunday, there will be generally cloudy weather in the mountainous and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali Sudurpaschim Province and the remaining provinces, and there will be partial clouds in the remaining areas.
