Rastriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane has submitted a statement to the Election Commission that his election expenses amounted to only Rs 989,000.

He, who is running for the House of Representatives from Chitwan-2, submitted his election expenses statement to the Election Commission on Tuesday.

The statement submitted states that a total of Rs 989,987 was spent.

It is mentioned that Rs 10,000 was spent on nomination registration expenses, Rs 68,161 was spent on printing sample ballot materials, and Rs 295,000 was spent on transportation and fuel during the campaign.

Similarly, the statement states that Rs 14,200 was spent on lunch during the voter training program, Rs 112,000 on purchasing promotional materials (flags, badges, stickers), and Rs 55,000 was spent on making banners.

Rs 196,000 was spent on purchasing food and rations, and Rs 13,626 on air travel.

The Election Commission has made arrangements to make it mandatory for candidates to submit details of election expenses to make them transparent.
