The initial estimate is that 60 to 65 percent of the votes were cast in the Kathmandu district in the election of members of the House of Representatives held today.
Kathmandu Chief Electoral Officer Churaman Khadka informed that voting had been completed peacefully in all centers by 5 pm and it is estimated that about 60-65 percent of the votes were cast.
He said that it will take some time to confirm the number of votes cast. Chief Electoral Officer Khadka informed that all the ballot boxes will be collected at the office of the concerned Electoral Officer in the next two hours and then the counting process will begin.
