The Ministry of Health and Population has appointed coordinators at the union and provinces to coordinate health services for the elections to be held tomorrow. Ministry spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki said that six coordinators have been appointed at the union and seven in all seven provinces to coordinate the necessary health services for possible incidents in the elections. According to him, six people from the Health Emergency Operations Center and seven people from the Provincial Health Emergency Operations Center have been appointed to coordinate the necessary health services for possible incidents in the elections.
Bandana Bhatta, Dr. Nawaraj Joshi, Narmaya Rijal, Bimala Maharjan, Gopal Pandey and Shreya Subedi are in the union. Similarly, Dr. Sabya Subedi is in Koshi Province, Phulendra Yadav in Madhesh, Dinesh Rupakheti in Bagmati, Buddhisagar Adhikari in Gandaki, Nodhanarayan Chaudhary in Lumbini, Shyamlal Acharya in Karnali and Hemraj Joshi in Sudurpaschim Province.
'The coordinator will take the injured in possible incidents on election day to the hospital and coordinate their treatment,' said ministry spokesperson Dr. Budhathoki. The ministry has already instructed to form 'rapid response teams' in all hospitals.
