A virtual meeting (Zoom meeting) was held at the ministry on Wednesday morning with the Chief District Officers of all 77 districts. The concerned DCAs informed that all administrative work including election security has been completed.
A virtual meeting of the Chief District Officers of all 77 districts, including high-ranking officials of the ministry, chaired by Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Rajkumar Shrestha, has taken information about the election preparations and security management of all districts.
The meeting, which lasted for about 3 hours at the Ministry of Home Affairs, focused on election preparations, security arrangements and other issues, informed Rama Acharya, the co-spokesperson of the ministry. According to her, in the meeting, the Chief District Officers of all districts have informed that all preparations for the election have been completed and the security situation is normal.
The meeting discussed the election preparations of the districts, the current situation and the coordination to be done by the center. An understanding has been reached to formulate a future strategy after reviewing the peace and security situation, vigilance and security sensitivity to be adopted on election day.
Home Secretary Shrestha directed the Chief District Officers to make election security strong and effective. The Chief District Officers informed the meeting that all employees, security mechanisms and election materials have reached the polling stations.
