The Supreme Court will also be open during the government-granted holiday for the House of Representatives elections. Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Koirala said that the court will be open for hearing the petition for habeas corpus as the government has granted a continuous public holiday till Falgun 24.
He said that the Supreme Court will remain open from 11 am to 3 pm during this period, except on polling days and Saturdays.
The government has decided to declare a public holiday from the 20th to the 22nd for the elections, while the next day, the 23rd, is Saturday, and the 24th is International Women's Day.
