The Nepalese government has started discussions for the rescue and facilitation of Nepalis stranded in various airports and countries due to the developments in the Middle East. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a press conference today to inform that the Nepalese government is preparing to form a rapid action team to assist Nepalis in the Middle East.
Especially after the developments in the Middle East, there are Nepalis who have obtained visas but have not been able to go, who are at the airport during transit, who have already obtained visas but have not reached their destination. It has been stated that discussions are underway on how to facilitate such people and the Nepalese government and the relevant bodies are closely monitoring them.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that so far, there have been no casualties or injuries from the ongoing events in the Middle East. The Ministry has also urged the families of Nepalis in the Middle East not to panic.
