From April 1 to February 10, 453 people have died and 38 have gone missing in 6,484 incidents of various disasters across the country.  1,740 people have been injured and 12,109 families have been affected during that period. 

According to the data of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the highest number of incidents were fires (3,101).  94 people have died, 499 have been injured and 3,481 families have been affected by fires. 

Similarly, 72 people have lost their lives out of 585 landslide incidents.  The condition of 5 people is still unknown in the landslides while 81 have been injured.  1,550 families have been affected by landslides. 

97 people have died out of 584 incidents of snakebite.  The number of families affected by snakebite across the country is 590. 

51 people have died due to animal attacks. There were 467 incidents of animal attacks during this period. One person went missing and 218 people were injured. Out of 427 incidents of heavy rain, 7 people lost their lives. 20 people were injured and 1,013 families were affected.

In 316 incidents of floods, 37 people died, 27 were injured and 3,304 families were affected.

Similarly, the statistics mention that human and material losses have also been caused due to inundation, cold wave, avalanches, lightning, forest fires and epidemics.
