Three people were killed and injured when two motorcycles collided with each other on the Vanadevi road section of the Dhangadhi-Dadeldhura (Bhimdatta) Highway in Kailali on Friday evening. The Area Police Office, Malakheti (Attariya), has stated that the three people who were injured in the accident that occurred when the motorcycles collided with each other died while being taken to Dhangadhi for treatment. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ran Bahadur Chand said that the driver of the motorcycle with registration number Sup Pr01/0103187 is Harish Oli, 22, of Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-2. Jeevan Pathak, 23, of Lalpur, Godavari Municipality-6, who was riding behind the same motorcycle, was seriously injured and his treatment is ongoing.
Similarly, the driver of the motorcycle with registration number Sup Pr01/009P7781, Yogendra Shah, aged 26, of Godavari Municipality-1, and the passenger sitting behind him, Harish Parki, aged 23, have died.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Chand said, "The nature of the incident shows that the motorcycle was driven at a speed of more than 100 kilometers per hour, and parts including the wheel have been thrown away." Yogendra Shah had been injured in motorcycle accidents twice before.
Police said that the deceased Oli was returning to Dhangadhi after attending a wedding in Godavari when the accident occurred.
