The Ministry of Home Affairs has appealed to maintain harmony and mutual respect among all communities. The appeal was made at a meeting of the Central Security Committee chaired by Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal at the ministry on Saturday after reviewing the current security situation. High-ranking officials of all four security agencies were present in the meeting.

The ministry has stated that serious attention has been drawn to incidents such as arson and vandalism of public and private property, burning of political party flags, and other incidents that seriously affect social harmony in some districts of the Terai and Madhesh, including Rautahat and Dang.

Rama Acharya, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, said that subordinate security agencies have been instructed to take strict action against those who disrupt peace and security, disrupt communal harmony and engage in anti-election activities. She said that the relevant agencies have been instructed to manage peace and security and maintain peace and order through a meeting of the Central Security Committee.

Curfew has been imposed in Sangadha village of Gaur Municipality-6 of Rautahat on Friday after a dispute between two parties over a wedding ring. The district administration has issued a curfew from 1 pm until further orders at Mudbalwa Gate in the east, Lal Bakaiya Dam in the west, Bam Canal in the north, and Gaur Customs Office in the south.
