Three Indian nationals were arrested on Friday with approximately 11 kilograms and 270 grams of illegal narcotics, marijuana, at the arrival tunnel gate of Tribhuvan International Airport.

The arrested persons are 43-year-old Sameena Akhtar Baig Mirza, 24-year-old Mohammad Junaid, and 44-year-old Afsana Amir Hussain Sheikh, said Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Abinarayan Kafle.

Police deployed from the Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office and the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Mohammad Junaid and Sameena Akhtar Baig Mirza with about 3.870 grams of the drug and Afsana with about 7.400 grams of the drug today, he said.

Spokesperson Kafle said that the three arrested persons have been sent to the Narcotics Control Bureau today for necessary investigation and action.
