After the accident, rescue operations are underway with the help of local residents, security personnel and rescue teams.
According to Police Inspector Rajan Prasad Timsina of the District Police Office, Ramechhap, so far, nine bodies have been recovered from the bus that sank in the Tamakoshi.
More than 10 people have been rescued and sent to the hospital for treatment. Efforts are ongoing to recover others from the bus that sank in the Tamakoshi. The police said that the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained and further investigation into the incident is underway.
