A special court has ordered the release of Rudra Prasad Phuyal, the then manager of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, on a regular date, in a corruption case filed in connection with irregularities in the construction of the Pokhara Regional International Airport.

A bench of Justices Narayan Prasad Poudel, Dilliratna Shrestha and Bidur Koirala issued an order to keep Managing Director Phuyal in custody on a regular date. He was present today.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority had filed a corruption case against 55 people, including 5 former ministers and 10 former secretaries, in the case of irregularities in the construction of the Pokhara Regional International Airport.
