The National Assembly has passed the 'National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081'.

In today's meeting of the House, the proposal to 'pass the bill', submitted by Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Anil Kumar Sinha on behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technology Sushila Karki, was unanimously passed.

Earlier in the meeting, Law Minister Sinha, on behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technology Karki, had presented a proposal to discuss the bill along with the report of the Legislative Management Committee. The proposal was unanimously approved by the House.
 
MPs Beduram Bhusal, Sumitra BC and Rukmini Koirala participated in the discussion on the proposal. Responding to questions raised in the discussion, Minister Sinha clarified that the act was needed to address various dimensions including research.

The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on Monday, Magh 26 at 1:15 PM.
