The center's managing director, Yadunath Poudel, informed that 8 million ballots had been printed by Thursday evening out of a total of 23 million ballots to be printed for the direct route. Up to 1.3 million ballots are being printed per day and all the ballots will be printed and packed in the next week.
'The Election Commission has already delivered 1 million sample ballots printed by the center to various places. 28.3 million proportional ballots have been printed and packed,' he said. 'We will complete the printing of the direct route ballots this month.'
He said that the transportation of the proportional route ballots will begin from Magh 25-26 and the direct route ballots will be printed by the middle of the month and transported to the districts by Falgun 1-2.
8 million ballot papers have been printed for 60 constituencies in the direct phase of the House of Representatives election. 'The printing of 28.54 million 800 ballot papers for the proportional phase has been completed and the printing of 23.23 million ballot papers for the direct phase has started from Magh 12,' Poudel said. 'The center is working according to the Election Commission's plan to send ballot papers to all constituencies by Falgun 3.'
It is said that the Commission has made arrangements for the concerned District Election Office to purchase 37 types of materials required for the election.
